Range Rover unveil new V8 model
If you are currently thinking you might sell your car for cash, you may want to hold on to your money - so you can treat yourself to 'the most capable and luxurious SUV in the world.'
Range Rover has announced details of its 2011 range and despite the '2011' tag, the new model will be available in showrooms from the middle of September.
Easily identified by small bodywork adjustments, the Range Rover's V8 engine grows from 3.6 litres to 4.4. A combination of the eight-speed gear box and the new engine means the new model has improved efficiency in terms of power, fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
Phil Popham, Land Rover's managing director is cited as saying in the Birmingham Post: "The 2011 Range Rover retains its position as one of the world's most complete luxury vehicles, its combination of reduced CO2 emissions and superior engine performance continue to make it a clear industry benchmark."
Range Rover connoisseurs will be pleased to hear that "the ultimate incarnation of the Range Rover" will be launched to coincide with the manufacturers birthday. The Autobiography Black Vogue 40th anniversary special edition model is also being produced, but only 700 will be available worldwide.
Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern said of the limited edition model: "At the top of the range, the Autobiography Black 40th anniversary limited edition offers customers the option of complete exclusivity with unique colourway combinations as well as striking interior and exterior design features."
Prices for the 2011 model Range Rover will be announced in August.
