Porsche tempting car buyers with 911 GT2 RS details
Porsche has been whetting luxury car fans appetites by releasing details of their latest offering, the 911 GT2 RS, their most powerful road legal car yet.
The car that Top Gear have dubbed ''the scariest car ever'' is set to produce an astonishing 611 bhp from its rear wheel drive format. Going from 0-124mph in less than ten seconds, this Porsche is sure to leave passes by agog and prompt current 911 owners to announce ''I'm going to sell my Porsche for the GT2 RS!''
Providing this extra boost is a 70kgs weight saving from the 911 GT2, combined with a new air intercooler and more powerful turbo boost to the 3.6 litre six-cylinder engine. As well as mechanical changes, Porsche have added carbon fibre spoilers and wheel arches, to free up power for more important tasks - such as going fast... 205mph fast to be precise.
And the price of this monstrously powerful road car? Well at £164,000 it's certainly a big investment, but one that is sure to pay off.
It is anticipated that the 911 GT2 RS will be launched officially in August, with sales commencing soon after. With car pundits waiting to test the car, Porsche fans remain on the edge of their Recaro seats to find out how it handles.
