Peugeot launches new car payment scheme
Peugeot has launched a new payment scheme that includes the buying and owning costs of a new car, according to What Car?
The plan is called 'Just Add Fuel' combines costs into one monthly fee, to be paid over a three-year-period, which includes comprehensive insurance, routine servicing, road tax and roadside assistance on top of the purchase costs. However, it does not include fuel.
This is good news for people who want a new car but can't afford to cough up thousands of pounds upfront. People who want to free up some money can sell a car for cash and won't have to invest all of it back in to a new car.
According to Auto Insider, this new payment scheme will remove "any of the financial worry sometimes associated with running a new vehicle by reducing paperwork, simplifying budgeting and removing the worry of unknown future costs".
It's also great news for young drivers, as the plan is available on the 107 Millesim for people aged 21 and over.
There are restrictions on the insurance such as a minimum age of 25 for most drivers, which raises to 30 on some 308 CC models, and a maximum age of 75. The policy can only cover three named drivers, who must have held a full UK driving licence for at least a year.
"Our research showed that customers were looking for a complete peace of mind package that would cover all their motoring costs including insurance and servicing," said Jon Goodman, managing director of Peugeot UK in an official statement.
He continued: "In response to these findings, we are now pleased to offer our customers Peugeot's unique option of 'Just Add Fuel' where they can drive away their new car with total peace of mind and the reassurance of knowing their monthly outgoings for the next three years."
