Luxury cars damaged in corrosive liquid attack
A man has caused around £120,000 damage after pouring a corrosive liquid over four luxury cars.
The incident happened at around 1pm yesterday in the car park of a business unit in Kidderminster. According to The Shuttle, a man was seen tipping the substance onto a BMW, an Aston Martin, a Lamborghini and a Porsche, before running away towards the town centre.
Considerable damage was caused to the cars' paintwork by the liquid. A bottle was found in undergrowth near the car park shortly after the attack, but the offender has still not been traced.
He has been described as slim and in his late teens, and West Mercia Police have appealed for anyone who saw the incident to contact the force.
Pc Catherine Greig was quoted by BBC News as saying: "It's likely someone saw the offender on the way to the business park or making off down the hill towards the Viaduct Inn."
"We believe he was not wearing gloves and may possibly have suffered burns from the substance he was attacking the cars with."
It is not known who owns the cars that were involved in the attack. However, if the owner had recently been thinking 'I'm going to sell my Porsche', they now face a frustrating wait. Repairs will almost certainly have to be made before they can cash in on their luxury asset.
