Bentley Continental GT brings new meaning to 'luxury motoring'
The revamped Bentley Continental GT is set to take luxury motoring to a whole new level, with the latest model boasting a range of state-of-the-art features.
Bentley has added a host of new gadgets to the updated version of the hugely popular Continental GT, including an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system with built-in Google Maps-powered sat-nav.
This will almost certainly allow drivers to access Google's extensive range of mapping services, including 3D maps and in-depth details about destinations and local landmarks.
According to CNET News, the new Continental GT will also offer a choice of two different cutting-edge speaker systems, one of which employs new Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology.
BMR speakers are smaller than conventional speakers, with Bentley claiming that they allow a broader frequency range and less sound fading over distance.
In addition, the Bentley Continental GT will have an integral 30GB hard drive, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, Freeview TV and a DVD player.
The Continental GT is sure to set pulses racing, with luxury car buyers likely to think "I've got to sell my Aston Martin and get one of those."
"The new Continental GT is an automotive work of art, with superb craftsmanship and elegant, contemporary design," Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive, Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen, said in a press release.
"It drives like a supercar, but without the usual sacrifices in ride or practicality. It is a car that you can enjoy every moment of the day," Dr Paefgen adds.
