Aston Martin One-77 supercars almost sold out
Aston Martin's upcoming supercar the One-77 is causing a furore amongst luxury car enthusiasts, with the company reporting that 65 of the 77 models to be produced have already been betrothed to their new owners.
One-77's are set to be so coveted and rare that one is unlikely to hear any owners saying ''I need to sell my Aston Martin One-77,'' so buyers are advised to move quickly if they are interested in obtaining a supercar that is sure to be an investment.
The limited edition model is to cost upwards of £1million and with that hefty price tag comes impressive performance. The One-77 will be propelled by a 7.3 litre V12 engine, reaching top speeds of 220 mph and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Such statistics surely put this latest Aston into the 'hypercar' category, joining the likes of the uber chic Bugatti Veyron.
The One-77 is so eagerly anticipated that one buyer with a plethora of cash for cars has pre ordered 10 of the models - totalling an extravagant £12 million. The Times reports that such an order could be the biggest the British car manufacturer has received.
Reportedly, the mysterious car buyer has requested a different interior trim and paint colour for each One-77, making them all completely unique. It is not yet clear whether the supercars are to be kept in a private collection in the UK or abroad.
Aston Martin was particularly cagey about the release of the One-77, shrouding it in a Savile Row drape during its promotional tour at the Paris Motor Show. However, it appears that this secrecy has helped bolster sales of its most anticipated model to date.
