It’s a nightmare scenario for any motorist. You’re just driving along like any normal day and then someone crashes into your car. Instantly you’re confronted with numerous difficulties. You have to get the other person’s details, contact the insurance company and then wait to see if and when they are going to pay out. If you then add the fact that you are without a vehicle and that you have to pay an excess before the insurance company will pay out, then it quickly becomes a hassle you could do without.Although it is against the law to not have car insurance, you do have to sometimes wonder if it’s worth it. Insurance excesses tend to be in the range of between £250-£500, if your car is only worth between £250 and £1000, you have to wonder if it’s worth paying the excess to get the car repaired. If you’re left thinking ‘there’s no point paying the excess as my car is not worth much, I wonder if someone would buy my car?’.
At Sell Car we may just be able to buy your damaged vehicle. This will obviously depend on the level of damage. Simply fill out the request a quote form on our website and then contact us by phone or email. If the car is not too badly damaged then we’ll arrange for an inspection and then hopefully a payment for your damaged vehicle.
Insurance excesses, especially for younger drivers, can be very high. If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident and your vehicle really isn’t worth repairing, then selling a car to Sell Car may just turn out to be the more profitable solution.
